SafeRoute is a web application that determines the 'safest' route home based on public crime data. The application gives each route a 'safety score,' and generates a heat map with interactive and informative markers.

My inspiration for this project came from friends and family who wanted to feel safe when running at night, or when walking in neighborhoods they didn't know well.

I raised over $3,000 in 3 weeks to fund research on keeping waterways clean, and to promote environmental awareness in the local NY area.

The summer before that, I researched sustainable, alternative sources of fuels at The Cooper Union, and presented my research in front of hundreds of peers and several professors of the University.
